We use a quality "Ultra Point" Mustad hook with a medium fiber guard and a rattle strap assembly with twin rattles. The hanging rattlestrap gives these bass jigs extra bulk - the jigs land "hook up" most every time. The "dangling rattles" don't get knocked off as easy as others when pitching these jigs around boat houses or docks. The wide gap hook provides better penetration and hook set. The fiber guard is left for you to trim to your liking.
